Now, what really is “Couchsurfing”? All of you people might be wondering!!!
Couchsurfing is an internet website that allows you to host travellers in your own home, and at the same time it allows you to stay in other people’s homes while you’re travelling yourself.
It’s not only free but it allows you to have a different perspective of the destination. You aren’t destined to stay in your hotel room or take the tourist tours. You just hang out with your host, he takes you on places that you would probably never visit by yourself!

So yeah, these pretty enough things about Couchsurfing are really appreciating and wonderful and most likely, “adventurous”!😉
The internet website for the same is :- https://www.couchsurfing.com/
“For the backpackers and nomads, the accommodation by using “Couchsurfing” is the most convenient and joyful way to stay while they’re travelling to the different parts of the world!”
That’s it viewers on the topic of “Couchsurfing” from the blog “Nomadic Life”! Next post will be about “How you can also earn money while travelling yourself?” from the same blog topic. 🙂
Till then, take care viewers!
God Bless!👍
Harshit, Couch surfing is no longer free. I’ve used this service as a surfer and host for the past 10 years. Mid May 2021 fees were introduced, for both hosts an surfers.
We have hosted about 230 folk and surfed with about 50 people. The sad demise of this community will be accelerated as hosts like us go dormant, until we travel. For hosts what is the need to pay any fee when whatever we provide is already at our expense.
Love your excitement which we once had. Please check the net for discussions on the history of CS and its coming collapse.
cheers

Absolutely right brother! Couchsurfing website has started to charge some 3-4 thousands first to verify yourself on it and I really don’t understand what’s the shit thinking is behind this thing and why they started charging for both hosts and surfers! I’m totally disappointed by this act of Couchsurfing team.

It was inevitable when they changed their structure and lost the essence of the CS. I’m disappointed, have written to them, got a pro forma response. For me its time to move on

Jenny ,
Thanks so much for reaching out with your pro forma reply.
Consideration of hosts like us who provide a significant contribution to hosting on Couch Surfing are in no need of paying any fee.
We provide at our own expense a significant benefit to couch surfers. There’s nothing in it for us.
A simple ratio of the number of hostings/number of surfers accommodated could provide a useful metric for y’all to consider.
If you do this sometime, maybe y’all find some useful data to offset hosts such as ourselves leaving our profile dormant until we travel again.
As we leave Couch Surfing we wish you well trying to maintain hosts such as ourselves.
Surfers will have little difficulty paying the small fee, but for hosts? Really?
cheerio

Hello David_and_Anne,
Thank you for reaching out with your feedback.
Contributions were introduced to the community back in May of 2020 (1 year ago). We published this information in our blog, social media accounts and reached out to all members via email to inform them about it. Some members, like yourself, were granted free contributions for 1 year as a thank you for previously supporting Couchsurfing. We understand this is a big change for the community and are sharing this information with the rest of the team.
You can read more about why this change was necessary in our Couchsurfing Blog. We have also published some answers to the questions that have come up since the change.
Please check out our Help Center for more details as well. Here are a few useful articles for more information:

Feel free to get back in touch if you have any other comments or questions and we’ll be happy to be of assistance.
Best,
—

We have been regular hosts and surfers for over nine years and are astounded to these fees imposed. We’re gonna have to stop using Couch Surfing in spite of our significant contribution to the community
